Becoming a SharePoint Online Admin Expert
SharePoint Online in Microsoft 365 has many components and in this full day workshop we are going to learn about these different components and how to manage them so SharePoint Online is properly configured, secure, and optimized.
We will use a newly created Microsoft 365 tenant to learn about several Microsoft 365 Admin settings needed to host SharePoint Online, including creating and managing users and groups, along with configuring the M365 Admin Center. We will then discuss, explore, and roll up our sleeves to configure SharePoint Online configuration settings, create and configure site collections, configure user profile settings, configure the search service to ensure your users are able to quickly find the information they need, and create a structured taxonomy using the term store available in SharePoint Online.

Data recovery options for SharePoint/OneDrive
SharePoint and OneDrive include several content recovery options for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business administrators, site collection administrators, and end users. Educating your end users on SharePoint recovery options like the site recycle bin, versioning, and site collection recycle bin can lighten the burden on your admins.
Using either a GUI or PowerShell you can backup and restore your entire SharePoint Server farm or components of it. In SharePoint Server you can also perform more granular content backups by exporting site collections, site, libraries, and lists, and there are options for recovering these site collections, sites, lists and libraries from content databases that are no longer part of your SharePoint Server farm.
With a vast majority of your SharePoint Server content stored in SQL Server it is imperative that you have an efficient way to recover items or entire databases as quickly as possible.

Data recovery options for SharePoint/OneDrive
SharePoint and OneDrive include several content recovery options for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business administrators, site collection administrators, and end users. Educating your end users on SharePoint recovery options like the site recycle bin, versioning, and site collection recycle bin can lighten the burden on your admins.
Using either a GUI or PowerShell you can backup and restore your entire SharePoint Server farm or components of it. In SharePoint Server you can also perform more granular content backups by exporting site collections, site, libraries, and lists, and there are options for recovering these site collections, sites, lists and libraries from content databases that are no longer part of your SharePoint Server farm.
With a vast majority of your SharePoint Server content stored in SQL Server it is imperative that you have an efficient way to recover items or entire databases as quickly as possible.

Use of Microsoft Teams has exploded for many companies during the global pandemic. For many organizations Teams has become the app that connects all their employees together. Power Platform apps, like Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents, provides a low-code platform for extending that functionality. Users are spending more and more time using Teams. It makes sense to try and reduce the friction of context switching by bringing our custom applications directly into Teams where they are working. We are able to harness the collaborative nature of Teams and SharePoint in one application and render it in many different contexts.
In this introductory developer session we will look at how to create and deploy a SharePoint Framework WebPart and have it be usable in Teams. Power Automate for SharePoint Bootcamp
We will start the afternoon with an overview of Power Automate. You'll learn about the different types of Flows that can be created with Power Automate and will start creating Flows yourself.
We'll then dive into Power Automate concepts including expressions, variables and loops. We'll move on to thoroughly covering how to use Power Automate with SharePoint. Finally, we see how to integrate Power Apps and Power Automate.
Live demos will be used to demonstrate all of these concepts. You'll have the opportunity to implement what you have learned through a series of hands-on labs.
Notes and Requirements:
To participate in the hands-on portion of this workshop, attendees should bring a laptop computer. Attendees who bring tablets, even with keyboards, will likely experience difficulties in successfully completing the labs.
